NA Meetings & Resources in Cedar Rapids: Finding Support, Healing, and Connection

If you’re in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and dealing with drug use or addiction, you may feel overwhelmed or alone—but you don’t have to face it by yourself. Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings provide a free lifeline for recovery, and when combined with structured treatment, they can offer the foundation for lasting change.

At Madison Recovery Center, we offer treatment programs—Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Virtual IOP—designed to work alongside NA, not replace it. Whether you’re just starting, seeking structure, or need flexibility, our programs can support your journey back to a purposeful, sober life.

How NA Meetings Work

NA meetings welcome you whether you want to stop using drugs, find hope, or connect with others who understand addiction’s grip. Many gatherings are themed—like Basic Text study or speaker nights—and you’ll often hear about the importance of sharing and living by recovery principles. You’re encouraged to just listen first, and when you’re ready, participate.

Meetings are places to bring your story, your pain, and your progress—so others can learn, grow, and stay connected as well. Seeing someone else living clean gives all of us hope.

Structured Care at Madison Recovery Center

For many, NA is life-changing—but additional support can amplify recovery, especially when addiction is tied to trauma, mental health, or life stress. That’s where our programs come in:

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

  • Meets 3–5 times weekly (day or evening)

  • Group therapy, individual counseling, skills training, relapse prep

  • Stay at home and keep your routine while digging deeper into recovery

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

  • Full-day treatment, Monday–Friday

  • More intense than IOP, but still allows you to live at home

  • Ideal for stepping down from inpatient care or during crisis

Virtual IOP

  • Zoom-based, HIPAA-compliant sessions from home or anywhere in Iowa

  • Same quality as in-person care, no travel needed

  • Great for busy schedules, childcare, or transportation barriers

Our team focuses on more than detox—we help you uncover triggers, build coping tools, and rekindle meaning and community in your life. Many clients use NA meetings alongside IOP or PHP, and we support that combination.
